Changing a shortcut#

Shortcuts can be rebound in keybindings.json, in Modular's preferences folder (<data root>/preferences/keybindings.json; see Your data). It holds a list of rules: a key, a command and an optional when condition.

json
[
  { "key": "mod+n", "command": "space.new" },
  { "key": "mod+shift+,", "command": "toggle-settings" }
]

The commands you can bind today are space.new, toggle-settings and exit-settings. when takes context names with !, &&, || and parentheses; an unknown name is false. modular preferences keybindings get shows the file and any errors in it.
